The ancient imperial capital Hue, a
UNESCO World Heritage site, is not to be missed. Vietnam Airlines has direct flights from Hanoi to Hue. A lovely place to stay there is the
Accor-managed La Residence hotel. The property has the most beautifully presented art deco design I've ever seen. La Residence is comfortable base from which to explore the complex of Hue monuments, a short drive away from the hotel.
